There is a good news for all the 3G Lovers who uses 3G services and alsoroam across the country there is something to Cheer now.
Tata Docomo Customer can now roam on Aircel 3G off-net roaming Effective Jan 2012. There is no change in customer tariff while roaming on other operator 3G network for voice/ sms & data Normal 2G roaming will apply on on-net and Off-net roaming.
This is a bilateral roaming not an ICR agreement for which DOT has opposed. Currently only few states have been covered under the first phase, as per our sources Tata will be launching its 3G bilateral roaming very shortly to other statesalso.
For example if a Tata customer from Gujarat is roaming in AndhraPradesh Circle, Customer by defaultwill be latched on to the Aircel network on 3G circle.
We would like to make it clear this is not ICRA Roaming its off-net roaming.
We hope with this tie up the enhancement of coverage of Tata docomo coverage will be at its best
